Yeah, that's the one. It's sure to suck (pardon the pun) but low to mid budget tat has always appealed. especially one where an American actor with fading star power has reduced themselves to working abroad. Reminds me of Italy in the 70's.

I must admit, the trailer and premise has intrigued me.

'Stardust' "David Bowie is one of the most seminal legends in music history; but who was the man behind the many faces? In 1971, a 24-year-old fledgling David Bowie (Johnny Flynn) is sent to America to promote his newest record, The Man Who Sold the World. Leaving behind his pregnant wife Angie (Jena Malone), Bowie and his band embark on a makeshift coast-to-coast promotional tour with struggling Mercury Records publicist Rob Oberman (Marc Maron)"

Wilson to make directorial debut for Insidious 5 At Blumhouse first inaugural BlumFest today, the fifth installment of the studio’s horror franchise Insidious was announced with the series actor Patrick Wilson making his feature directorial debut and star in the film alongside Ty Simpkins. The fifthquel will be distributed worldwide by Sony Pictures. Through four movies, the Insidious series has racked up $542.4M at the WW box office. Scott Teems wrote the script based on a story by franchise co-creator Leigh Whannell. The film will pick up with the Lamberts 10 years after the last installment, as Dalton (Simpkins) begins college. “I’m honored and thrilled to be at the helm of the next Insidious installment, which will provide an amazing chance to unpack everything the Lamberts went through a decade ago, as well as deal with the consequences of their choices. Directing the movie is both professionally and personally a full circle moment for me, and I am extremely grateful to be entrusted in continuing to tell this frightening and haunting story. Into the further we go…,” said Wilson “One of the primary reasons the interest and appetite from fans has lasted for Insidious is because the people involved in the first film have stayed involved and kept it vital, interesting and good. I’m so grateful to our collaborators on the franchise,” said producer Jason Blum who is producuing for Blumhouse. “We’re excited to have Patrick return as Josh and to make his directorial debut in a franchise he helped launch, and to drive the story Further into the next generation with Ty,” added Steven Bersch, President of Screen Gems. Also producing are franchise creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell. Oren Peli will also produce. Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Steven Schneider will executive produce. Wilson stars in another popular horror franchise, New Line’s Conjuring movies as paranormal investigator Ed Warren.

Orphan the prequel . https://www.unilad.co.uk/film-and-tv...R6sOdUc9FL7YwQ Isabelle Fuhrman Will Return As Esther In Orphan Prequel BY : JULIA BANIM ON : 03 NOV 2020 10:55 Isabelle Fuhrman Will Return As Esther In Orphan PrequelWarner Bros./@isabellefuhrman/Twitter Isabelle Fuhrman is set to reprise her role as creepy Esther in the upcoming prequel to 2009 horror movie, Orphan. For those who need their memories refreshing – although this really isn’t the sort of movie you forget in a hurry – Orphan is about a woman with with proportional dwarfism who masquerades as a nine-year-old orphan, worming her way into the lives of a grieving family. Parents Kate and John Coleman (Peter Sarsgaard and Vera Farmiga) welcome Esther into their home and hearts as their own daughter, but it soon becomes apparent that there is something very, very wrong going on with their newly adopted ‘child’. The news of Fuhrman’s return was first reported by Variety. As of yet, not much is known about the plot, but no doubt we can assume that, with Esther lurking about, something chilling will be going on. Fuhrman will reportedly also work as associate producer, with William Brent Bell (The Boy) set to direct the movie from a script by David Coggeshall. Dark Castle Entertainment and Entertainment One will reportedly mount production, which is said to be ‘imminently underway’. Dark Castle’s Alex Mace, Hal Sadoff and Ethan Erwin will produce alongside James Tomlinson, with the original movie’s screenwriter, David Leslie Johnson, serving as an executive producer with Jen Gorton. Josie Liang is set to oversee the movie for Entertainment One. Although Orphan received mixed responses at the time, viewers were left shocked and enthralled by the terrifying premise and it remains a firm Halloween favourite to this day |

Possible sequel to dog soldiers https://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/...H_htY-qDtYlnhc Fifteen years ago, Neil Marshall was pegged as horror’s next big thing after his first two movies were received hugely enthusiastically by critics and audiences alike, coming in for high praise after taking familiar tropes and putting a unique and entertaining spin on the formula. While the filmmaker has carved out a solid career for himself since, the argument could be made that he’s never truly lived up to that early potential. The Descent may have been his calling card after raking in $57 million at the box office on a budget of less than $5 million, but his debut feature Dog Soldiers is pure B-level trash and all the better for it. The action/horror hybrid with no shortage of jet black comedy sees a group of soldiers sent on a routine training mission to a remote part of Scotland, who find themselves fighting for survival against a pack of werewolves. Dog Soldiers Dog Soldiers doesn’t even try and hide the fact that the budget is minuscule and the entire premise is ridiculous, and the combination of gung-ho style and a tongue in cheek approach to the material has seen it become a firm cult favorite over the last eighteen years. Of course, fans have always wanted to see a sequel, and in a recent interview, Marshall admitted that now could be the ideal time to finally get around to making it. “There’s more of a chance now than ever before. There’s things in the works and we’re seeing what we can do. Certainly, myself and Kevin McKidd and producer Chris Figg are up for it to revisit this world. Over the past eighteen years the question I get asked pretty much more than anything else is, ‘When are we going to get Dog Soldiers 2?’. Part of me thinks I’d like to go back and re-visit that world somehow. And if Kev’s up for it, then that would make it worthwhile for sure. So we’ll see. You never know.” There’ve been several attempts at producing a follow-up over the years, but it never ended up materializing. With his latest effort Reckoning in the can and awaiting release, though, the genre specialist has a clear gap in his schedule, and based on his latest comments, a Dog Soldiers sequel seems to be a more realistic proposition than it’s been for a long time. |
