Why not just give us the old 5 minute cartoons? They will almost certainly be more entertaining than this!

It looks craptacular. Unlike Who Framed Roger Rabbit, the animation doesn't work with the live-action footage. The setting, with Tom brought in as an 'expert mouse catcher' is, based on what we know from the cartoons, completely implausible, and it looks like a rehash of Mouse Hunt featuring Tom and Jerry.

COMING 2 AMERICA SETS MARCH RELEASE DATE TO AMAZON

Amazon Studios has confirmed that it has acquired worldwide rights to keenly anticipated sequel “Coming 2 America” from Paramount Pictures, and has set a March 5, 2021 date to launch on Amazon Prime Video.

Variety reported that the deal was being hammered out last month.

The film is a sequel to John Landis’ 1988 comedy “Coming to America,” which grossed more than $288 million worldwide. In that film, the pampered Crown Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy) of the African nation of Zamunda travels to Queens, New York, accompanied by his confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall), and goes undercover to find a wife that he can respect for her intelligence.

In the sequel, directed by Craig Brewer (“Dolemite Is My Name”), newly-crowned King Akeem and Semmi embark on a new adventure that has them traversing the globe from Zamunda, back to Queens. Original cast members from “Coming to America” return including James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos and Louie Anderson.

New predator Movie:

Disney’s 20th Century Studios is developing a fifth “Predator” movie with “10 Cloverfield Lane” director Dan Trachtenberg.

Patrick Aison, whose television credits include the series “Kingdom,” “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” and “Treadstone,” has been hired to write the script.

The four “Predator” movies earned $443 million worldwide, with John Davis producing each. The original “Predator” was released in 1987 and directed by John McTiernan. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers and Jesse Ventura starred as commandos attempting to rescue hostages while being stalked in a jungle in Central America by a fearsome extraterrestrial, played by Kevin Peter Hall.

Stephen Hopkins directed 1990’s “Predator 2.” Danny Glover, Ruben Blades, Gary Busey, Mar?*a Conchita Alonso and Bill Paxton starred along with Hall, who reprised the title role of the Predator in a story set a decade after the events of the first film. The Predator character also headlined Fox’s 2004 crossover film “Alien vs. Predator” and the 2007 sequel “Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.”

“Predators,” the 2010 installment, centered on a group of mercenaries and murderers being kidnapped and transported to an alien game preserve jungle planet to fight off Super Predators. Nimród Antal directed with Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Alice Braga, Walton Goggins and Laurence Fishburne starring.

The fourth film, “The Predator,” was released in 2018 and directed by Shane Black, who was one of the commandos in the 1987 original. Black directed from a script he co-wrote with Fred Dekker about a group of soldiers and a scientist teaming up to battle an invading pair of Predators. The cast included Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey and Yvonne Strahovski.

Trachtenberg made his directorial debut with the 2016 sci-fi thriller “10 Cloverfield Lane,” which earned him a Directors Guild of America nomination for best first-time director on a feature. Trachtenberg is repped by ICM Partners and Grandview. Aison is repped by ICM Partners and Circle of Confusion. The news was first reported by Deadline Hollywood.

Black Panther 2:

The Black Panther sequel will begin shooting in July next year, it has been reported.

The project was put on hold after the sudden, unexpected death of the franchise’s star, Chadwick Boseman. Boseman, 43, had been diagnosed with colon cancer but chose not to make his illness public.

The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Marvel is planning to make 2021 its busiest year yet, with multiple films and several TV projects.

Black Panther 2 is apparently included among these, and will start shooting in Atlanta next July for up to six months.

A number of the original castmembers are expected to return, including Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o and Angela Bassett.

Marvel has not explained how Black Panther 2 will work without Boseman, but the studio has confirmed it will not use CGI to include him in the film.

Provided the coronavirus pandemic becomes contained with the help of vaccines, Marvel is planning to release three major films in 2021: Eternals (12 February) Black Widow (7 May), and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (9 July).

On TV, January will see the release of WandaVision, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. Read everything we know about the series here.

In March, production will begin on Disney+ series She-Hulk, starring Tatiana Maslany, and Moon Knight, starring Oscar Isaac.

Marvel is also working to complete its first seasons of Loki, with Tom Hiddleston, and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan. Both projects were already in production before the pandemic hit.

The only chink of light to come from the Covid pandemic is that it stopped Disney in it's tracks.

It's been a beautiful 2020 without Star Wars and superheroes.

I'm going to be the contrarian who is really looking forward to WandaVision, She-Hulk, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and think the Loki TV series could be excellent.

Without Chadwick Boseman, Black Panther 2 will be a bit odd, so I'm intrigued as to how they are going to carry on the story of Wakanda without T'Challa, and who (if anyone) will be Black Panther.

The main downside is I would have to feel there are almost no risks to my health in a cinema, something which will come with time and a Covid-19 vaccine.

Killer Klowns from outer space 2 on Netflix

https://www.ihorror.com/chiodo-broth...UHrgJzqLIS9gno

Chiodo Brothers Talking to Netflix About ‘Killer Klowns From Outer Space 2’

While out chatting about Alien Xmas, a new stop motion holiday film that landed on Netflix, Stephen Chiodo got to talking about him and his brother Charles Chiodo’s classic, Killer Klowns From Outer Space. Mainly, they got to talking about a long awaited sequel and how that might be going to Netflix.

“We are talking to them. We’re talking all the time. Get this: we’ve been trying to do a sequel (Killer Klowns From Outer Space) since we made the film and fans get angry with us. We don’t mention it too much, because they get angry. They say, ‘Oh, what’s the matter with you guys?’ But we’re trying. The business is just a bear, moves at a glacial pace. There’s interest, and it wanes and flows. You get some executives who really want to do it, then, all of a sudden, musical chairs. They’re out, a new regime is in, and they don’t get it. We’ll see how Alien Xmas does with the Netflix people. We’ll see if they can embrace our sensibility.” We have tons of ideas to really carry that through. I’m amazed that it has stood the test of time, that it’s multi-generational now. Parents who liked it show it to their kids. The kids like it. They show it to their friends. They get married, and they have kids. I am floored that it has lasted as long as it has. So they’ll be hopefully something in the future.” The Chiodo Brothers told ComicBook.com.

The idea of Chiodo returning to the world of Killer Klowns From Outer Space would be fantastic. The guys are still believers in practical effects, so you know that whatever they came up with for a Klowns sequel would be pretty rad

I thought Netflix was co-financing this one.
