If you mean the first trailer, I'm pretty sure that was Ray.

‘Studio 666’: Top Secret Horror-Comedy from Foo Fighters and ‘Hatchet III’ Director BJ McDonnell Hits Theaters February 25, 2022.

This past March Bloody Disgusting exclusively told you all that Foo Fighters, the incredibly popular rock band fronted by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, is starring in a brand new horror-comedy that was being shopped to buyers.

Filmed in secret during the pandemic, we also revealed that Hatchet III director BJ McDonnell took the reigns on the film that allegedly features a bunch of all-star cameos.

Deadline confirms our breaking news today with a report that Open Road Films has acquired the film, titled Studio 666, which will be released in theaters on February 25, 2022.

As for the plot, what we’re learning is that the band is haunted during a recording session and become possessed.

“Think A Hard Day’s Night of the Living Dead, with laughs among the scares and splatter,” described the site.

“Dave Grohl and his Foo Fighters bandmates (Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett & Rami Jaffee) star in a film they shot in secret, about what happens when the legendary rock band rents an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history, to record their 10th album. Trouble is, frontman Grohl is creatively blocked, and when evil forces in the house sink into his consciousness, the creative juices begin flowing but so does the blood. Can Foo Fighters’ complete the album, with the band still alive to tour?”

The cast includes Whitney Cummings, Leslie Grossman, Will Forte, Jenna Ortega and Jeff Garlin.

“Filmed at the same house where we recorded our latest album Medicine at Midnight — told you that place was haunted! — we wanted to recapture the classic magic that all of our favorite rock and roll movies had, but with a twist: hilarious gore that ****ing rocks,” said Grohl in a press release.

The concept isn’t a new one as bands have crossed over into pop culture several times in the past, including the infamous 1978 cult movie Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park.

If I heard correctly, most of the voice-over was Dan Aykroyd, but then I heard Bill Murray say "Have you missed us?" at the end.

The trailer is an excellent teaser, making the film look like (in the best possible way) a blend of Ghostbusters, IT, and Stranger Things. It could be brilliant.

Both are a waste of time. Especially the feature which is just fan nonsense.

Highlander reboot.

Henry Cavill Set to Lead ‘Highlander’ Reboot For ‘John Wick’ Director
Sword Fights From the 'John Wick' Director? Yes, Please.

Chad Stahelski, director of John Wick is set to direct the Highlander reboot. In fact, we reported that news a few years back. However, it seems to be picking up steam at this point. Superman star, Henry Cavill is set to play the lead of the new Highlander filim.

Cavill broke the news to THR during an interview. The idea of Cavill working on a film that is going to have sword fights directed by the dude behind John Wick is completely okay with us.

“Henry obviously has the physicality, but that doesn’t mean a whole lot if you can’t also carry the empathy of a character that’s lived 500 years, and I needed somebody who could do both. The character’s arc spans hundreds of years and he becomes many different personalities, all of which extend the timeline of his emotional growth. Then during our first meeting, my suspicions were confirmed: Henry was immediately riffing on the idea of the burden of immortality and you could see in his eyes that he can transform himself from being a young, vibrant soul to an old, wise soul.” Stahelski said concerning Cavill

Highlander is now set to begin filming in 2022. It’s going to be interesting to see who they come up with for a villain. The Kurgan played by Clancy Brown remains an iconic villain.

Mel Gibson Confirms He Will Direct And Star In Lethal Weapon 5

Mel Gibson has confirmed that he will direct and star in Lethal Weapon 5, with production set to start in 2022.

The film series, which first began in 1987, saw Mel Gibson star alongside Danny Glover as two Los Angeles Police Department detectives, who are also best friends.

Last night, November 13, on An Experience With, the 65-year-old confirmed that the franchise would be returning, with production starting next year, a whole 23 years after the last instalment was released.

According to Gibson, who played the lead character of Martin Riggs, the late director Richard Donner requested that if he ‘kick the bucket’, then Gibson take on the franchise.

Gibson explained how Donner, who directed all of the Lethal films, had been ‘developing a screenplay’ and had even ‘got pretty far along with it’, The Sun reports.

Gibson said,
And [Donner] said to me one day, ‘Listen kid, if I kick the bucket you will do it.’ And I said, ‘Shut up.’

But he did indeed pass away. But he did ask me to do it and at the time I didn’t say anything.

He said it to his wife and to the studio and the producer. So I will be directing the fifth one.

As well as taking on the role of director, Gibson is reportedly set to also reprise his role as Riggs.

The source suggested that the character will be ‘older but not necessarily wiser’, but that they expect that fans will be ‘pleased to see him back on screen’ anyway.

‘It is hoped Danny Glover will come back to and reprise his role of Roger Murtaugh,’ the source noted.

Gibson first hinted that the fifth instalment of the franchise would ‘absolutely’ be on the way when he appeared on Good Morning America on November 13, 2020.
