Saw an advert on tv for it earlier this evening. Would be lovely if it could get a disc release in time for Christmas.

It normally takes about three months for a film to move from cinemas to home entertainment, so a theatrical release in September in the buildup to Halloween would dovetail into the DVD/Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD packages being available to order for Christmas.

I tend to look on 1st October to January 1st as the haunting season so as long as it hits shelves somewhere between those dates it'll be cool. Otherwise i'll be leaving it until it's £6.99 a year from now.

With a running time of 206 minutes, Killers of the Flower Moon will be released in cinemas on 20 October, 2023, and then available for streaming on Apple TV

I had no idea the fourth Expendables film cunningly titled Expend4bles, was out today in the US.

I didn't actually know it was completed.

The critics don't like Expend4ables because of it's "over-the-top car chases, fiery explosions, bone-crushing fistfights, and excessive brutality."

ONE LIFE tells the true story of Sir Nicholas ‘Nicky’ Winton, a young London broker played by Johnny Flynn, who, along with Trevor Chadwick (played by Alex Sharp) and Doreen Warinner (played by Romola Garai) of the British Committee for Refugees in Czechoslovakia, rescued 669 children from the Nazis in the months leading up to World War II, Nicky visited Prague in December 1938 and found families who had fled the rise of the Nazis in Germany and Austria, living in desperate conditions with little or no shelter and food, and under threat of Nazi invasion. He immediately realised it was a race against time. How many children could he and the team rescue before the borders closed?

Fifty years later, it’s 1988 and Nicky (played by Anthony Hopkins) lives haunted by the fate of the children he wasn’t able to bring to safety in England; always blaming himself for not doing more. It’s not until a live BBC television show, ‘That’s Life!’, surprises him by introducing him to some surviving children – now adults – that he finally begins to come to terms with the guilt and grief he had carried for five decades.

Pathé today announced that they will be presenting a new feature film, THE GREAT ESCAPER, at this year’s Berlin Film Market. Inspired by true events, the film will tell the story of Bernard Jordan’s escape from his care home to attend the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings in France.

The film is set to star two time Oscar winner and six time nominee, Sir Michael Caine (The Quiet American, The Cider House Rules, Hannah and Her Sisters, Educating Rita, Sleuth and Alfie) and two time Oscar winner and four time nominee, Glenda Jackson (Hedda, A Touch of Class, Sunday Bloody Sunday and Women In Love).

In the summer of 2014 - the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings - octogenarian Bernard Jordan (Michael Caine) made global headlines. He’d staged a “great escape” from his care home to join fellow war veterans on a beach in Normandy, commemorating their fallen comrades.
