Although it's a bit different, when I saw Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels at the cinema, there were four elderly people in front of us. During the scene where Barry "the Baptist" is talking to Scousers Gary and Dean in a strip club using very strong language, the OAPs all stood up and walked out. I imagine they went because of the title and were expecting a Leone-esque spaghetti western!

New John Woo 'Silent Night' John Woo: ""Very interesting movie. The whole movie is almost without dialogue. It allowed me to use visuals to tell the story, to tell how the character feels. We are using music instead of language. And the movie is all about sight and sound. The budget was a little tight, and the schedule was tight, but it made me change my working style. Usually, for a big movie, a studio movie, we shoot a lot of coverage, then leave it to the cutting room. But in this movie, I tried to combine things without doing any coverage shots. I had to force myself to use a new kind of technique. Some scenes were about two or three pages, but I did it all in one shot.""

Spinal Tap sequel to start filming in February 2024 / Planet Rock "The hotly anticipated sequel to This Is Spinal Tap will start filming in February 2024, director and writer Rob Reiner has confirmed. The yet-to-be-titled mockumentary will see original stars Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer reprise their roles as Nigel Tufnel, David St Hubbins and Derek Smalls respectively. Commenting on the concept, Reiner explained: “(Spinal Tap) haven’t spent any time together recently, and that became the premise. The idea was that Ian Faith, who was their manager, he passed away. Ian’s widow inherited a contract that said Spinal Tap owed them one more concert.Reiner went on to reveal that music icons Paul McCartney, Elton John, Garth Brooks will all make cameos in the film, and there will be a "a few other surprises" in store for fans."

AMERICAN FICTION is Cord Jefferson's hilarious directorial debut, which confronts our culture’s obsession with reducing people to outrageous stereotypes. Jeffrey Wright stars as Monk, a frustrated novelist who’s fed up with the establishment profiting from “Black” entertainment that relies on tired and offensive tropes. To prove his point, Monk uses a pen name to write an outlandish “Black” book of his own, a book that propels him to the heart of hypocrisy and the madness he claims to disdain.
