After Winnie The Pooh, Cinderella and Bambi, the next family favourite to be re-imagined as a horror characters is... Mickey Mouse!

As a sidebar, the copyright to the earliest Mickie and Minnie cartoons has now expired, so films like 'Steamboat Willie' are now in the public domain so expect a plethora or Mickie rip-offs !

The screenplay is by Terry Rossio (“Godzilla vs. Kong” the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series) and Simon Barrett (“You’re Next”) and Jeremy Slater (“Moon Knight”), from a story by Rossio & Wingard & Barrett, based on the character “Godzilla” owned and created by TOHO Co., Ltd.. The film is produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric Mcleod, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Brian Rogers. The executive producers are Wingard, Jen Conroy, Jay Ashenfelter, Yoshimitsu Banno, Kenji Okuhira.

Once again, Wingard is collaborating with director of photography Ben Seresin (“Godzilla vs. Kong,” “World War Z”), production designer Tom Hammock (“Godzilla vs. Kong,” “X,” “The Guest”), editor Josh Schaeffer (“Godzilla vs. Kong,” “Molly’s Game”), costume designer Emily Seresin (“The Invisible Man,” “Top of the Lake”). The composers are Tom Holkenborg (“Godzilla vs. Kong,” “Mad Max: Fury Road”) and Antonio Di Iorio (additional music on “Godzilla vs. Kong,” the “Sonic the Hedgehog” films).

Warner Bros. As I have thoroughly enjoyed the other Titan films (Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla, King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong), so I'll be at the cinema to watch it, preferably on the biggest screen possible

28 Years Later, Marks the Return of Danny Boyle's Visionary Saga

The highly anticipated sequel to Danny Boyle's groundbreaking film "28 Days Later" is set to take the cinematic world by storm. Aptly named "28 Years Later," this sequel promises a riveting continuation of the original's dystopian nightmare.

Prepare for a heart-pounding experience as "28 Years Later" brings back the relentless 'zombies' that are not quite zombies.
Danny Boyle, along with Alex Garland, have officially announced their return to the world they created in "28 Days Later."

This time, they delve deeper into the chaos unleashed by a terrifying virus that decimates Britain.

The 2002 film introduced us to a hauntingly empty London, discovered by Cillian Murphy's character as he wandered out of a hospital. This eerie silence presented a sharp contrast to the city's usual hustle and bustle.

"28 Weeks Later," the immediate sequel, shifted gears with its intense action sequences. Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and written by several others including Rowan Joffé, it focused on American soldiers' attempt to reclaim London, only to face dire consequences.

For years, speculation about another sequel, tentatively titled "28 Months Later," swirled. It was imagined to pick up from the cliffhanger in "28 Weeks Later," where the infection spreads beyond Britain. However, this concept evolved into the now-confirmed "28 Years Later."

Reportedly, Boyle and Garland are not just stopping at one film. According to a report, they plan to launch an entirely new trilogy in this post-apocalyptic universe. Boyle is set to direct the first installment, while Garland, known for his directorial work on films like "Annihilation" and "Ex Machina," will pen the script for all three movies.

The budget for these films is estimated at £58 million each, significantly higher than the budgets of the previous films in the series.

This trilogy will soon be pitched to various studios and streaming services, aiming to replicate the success of high-octane blockbusters like George Miller's "Mad Max: Fury Road."

The buzz around a new sequel intensified recently, as Cillian Murphy expressed his excitement at the prospect of returning to the franchise. Murphy's character, Jim, who was initially meant to perish in "28 Days Later," survived, leaving the door open for his possible return in "28 Years Later." Murphy's eagerness to collaborate again with Boyle and Garland adds to the growing anticipation for this sequel.

If Murphy reprises his role it'll definitely be huge seeing as he's about to sweep awards ceremonies worldwide for Oppenheimer.
