Absolutely. In fact, I think I'm drawn back more to part III than the original.

I always loved Ghostbusters 2 and Gremlins 2 more than the originals as a kid. I've not seen Ghostbusters 2 since, but Gremlins 2 more than holds up - wildly inventive, anarchic, and funny (even the Hulk Hogan cameo!).

Nos shut your eyes please.

III, i find has more entertainment value to it than the original film. I'm not knocking The Exorcist though as i think its brilliant.

Ditto. The original is a good classic, solid horror. But part 3 has the weirdness factor which appeals more to me . . .

EXORCIST III is a good shout as well.

I also like Exorcist II The Heretic!

Good to hear some likes for The Heretic, a film I've abandoned several times but always try to catch it when comes my way. The film has something...

I've only watched Part 2 once despite owning it for years, that speaks volumes! Exorcist III is the real sequel IMO and those that haven't read the book (Legion) are really missing out. I also like both of the prequels too although I bet I'm in the minority on here

I watched Another 48 Hours last night on Film4 just to see if this really is the car crash sequel it's supposed to be and dammit, I enjoyed it !

Poltergeist 2, Child's Play 2, Sleepaway Camp 2 (although I saw it years before the first one), The Omen 2.

I preferred the original Final Destination by far. The original Salem's Lot remains to this day my favourite horror film ever (the sequel was bull, lol). The original Scream I liked best and also I preferred the original 'I know what you did last summer.'

I think also the original Carrie is number 2 on my favourite horror list. The sequel was fun but only because I am rather obsessed with the story in general. I absolutely love the film and the book and also quite liked the 2002 remake...even though they completely misunderstood the characters. They made Carrie out to be an idiot rather than just a shy girl and momma just was not cast with the right person either. I really cannot wait to see the next remake - I'm a big Julieanne Moore fan so hopefully she does the role of Momma some justice!
