The original has a true master of horror working like a surgeon with a scalpel to find what scares you and work on that with precision, whereas Rob Zombie's is like someone trying the same trick only with a lump hammer! I hated the explanation of Michael Myers' childhood as the reason why he was (and is) such an excellent 'boogieman' is because so much is left to the imagination.

![]() That's what I tried to do what I saw the remakes of Halloween, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Friday the 13th etc, but they still didn't work for me as horror films due to the lack of atmosphere and heavy-handed way in which the jumps were handled.
