DRIVE-IN MASSACRE (1977) Directed by Stu Segall This micro budget film is about a killer than bumps off patrons at a drive-in theatre in rural California and a pair of cops who try figure and stop him. That's pretty much it as far as the plot goes, nothing more to add really. Typical low budget H.G Lewis style film, with the type of sub par acting and dialogue we come to expect from films of this type. There's a few decent kills from our deranged psychopath using a sword, with heads being shown lopped off etc. and there's also a brief appearance from George "Buck" Flower, best remembered as the sleeping tramp rudely awaken by Marty McFly in the Back to the Future films (incidentally, his daughter stars too as his er daughter!). I watched this the other week, but have only just got the chance to write anything about it, so a lot of it is forgotten now, but I will say that despite this being absolutely terrible, I enjoyed it for what it is and because I watched it via the awful looking 23rd Century DVD, it really did feel like a grindhouse flick. I highly doubt this would have the same impact if it gets a polish, after all you can't polish a turd! Final thoughts: Recommended if you're a fan of H.G Lewis or shite cinema, but if you're looking for low budget of the Carpenter/Hooper type, then I'd avoid this

BTW, as promised a few pages back, I'm currently working on a database of all the films mentioned in the list and their availability on DVD/BD, it's gonna take some time, but I'll be sure to post it here when I've done

That will be really helpful – and expensive – thanks in advance!

As an aside, having watched Blood Rage, I did a little investigating into its availability and it seems that whilst it has had DVD release(s), these are apparently cut, and was only released uncut on VHS. A shame, as I would be up for an uncut DVD (or BD) release. |

SEX WISH. Bi sexual demigod of freak, Zebedy Colt stars in this snarling rage of a film as a madman hell bent on loving Harry Reems. Of course, the best way of expressing this love is by the rape and murder of Reem's nearest and dearest in a series of scenes that will forever leave your soul one step closer to hell. Colt is on demented fire playing "The Night Walker" as he breaks into homes, inflicting bizarre and humiliating sex games on people before killing them...it's an amazing performance that crackles with psychosis and a barely controlled dangerousness. What I really like about this film is that it holds up well on repeated viewing and still manages to make me feel slightly ashamed of myself for loving it and Colt so much. God only knows how porno freaks reacted to it at the cinema back in the 70s. I'd like to imagine there wasn't a dry eye or seat in the house... I'd also recommend Colt's THE DEVIL INSIDE HER which is like a surreal version of THE BLOOD ON SATAN'S CLAW done as a porno pantomime with members of Kiss as the Devil...and UNNATURAL LOVERS which plays out like RAINMAN crossed with NEKROMANTIK. Go on, treat yourselves. |

Jeez, just adding IMDb links to the 468 titles on the list is time consuming

Have you seen FORCED ENTRY B_E? It would make a great double bill with SEX WISH.

Yes! If I can track both down I may consider doing a double.

That would be an invaluable resource and as already stated; expensive! |
