That's weird because IMDB lists it as 72 minutes!

Rewind @ www.dvdcompare.net - Legend of the Witches (1969)

This suggests that the DVD packaging is incorrect, and while it says the running time is 113 minutes it actually runs for the shortened running time of 72 mins!

R2 United Kingdom- DD Home Entertainment - Yes - Shortened version (72:09 PAL)
R2 Flipside #39 United Kingdom- British Film Institute - No cuts - Original version (81:55 PAL)

Edit, the 82 mins is PAL speedup and the BD runs more like 85 mins.

Just checked it's actual playing time on dvd by actually putting the disc in a machine. Glad i did. DD Video are talking shit with their 113 minutes.

It is 73 minutes.

Does the booklet or extras say anything about the extra 18 mins of the new release.

Not had time to read it yet, I'll keep you posted.

Did you watch Sacred Rites? Any good? Is it worth buying for that alone?

Reason being i've seen Legend a couple of times but due to it's near documentary feel it's not exactly got a lot of re-watch value other than it's ability to hypnotize the viewer.

Not yet, it'll be tonight! I only started watching at 10pm last night and I had to be in bed for work

Like how you've phrased that. Sounds like you work from bed.

The Omen 3: The Final Conflict
Damien Thorne is now the owner of Thorne Enterprises and plans to be US ambassador for the UK, at the same time a group of monks plot to assassinate him to bring the second coming.
If you. Get anything from this it is a great performance from Sam Neill and some great deaths, especially the US ambassador at the beginning.

Omen 4: The Awakening
A politician and his attorney wife adopt a child, 7 years later the mother begins to suspect her daughter is not what she seems.
A TV movie, it doesn't work at all, it's completely forgettable with the exception of 2 scenes - the carnival burning down and the lady getting bitten by the snakes, the soundtrack at times (apart from the themes from the first and 3rd films being used) is utterly laughable at times. By far the worst film out of the series.

All Hallows' Eve (2013)

I'd really want Katie Maguire as my baby sitter on All Hallows Eve. She's lovely in a wonderfully appealing sort of way.

As for the film, a third viewing and one that improves all the time. Really going up in my estimations.

Hatchet (2006)

Adam Green's throwback to 80's video nasties is a fave of mine. Love the New Orleans swamp location, love the cast, love the witty script that refuses to take itself too seriously and i love the outrageous blood and guts on offer.
