Heretic A couple of Religious Girls end up in the house of Hugh Grant and after they want to leave after things start going strange, they end up in a battle of wits. This had a really good start with Grant using going back to his Rom-com roots and oozes charm and the back and forth debates was tense but it looses it's way in the final quarter. Such a shame, the makers were on to something here. House On The Edge Of The Park Don't think I need to go into plot here but that scene is still uncomfortable and David Hess is excellent as the absolutely evil bad guy, he is so convincing and believable. It's a shame that he never got a Good Guy role in a 80's Action Movie, I think he would have excelled in that as well. |

Just having a cuppa and a biscuit having just watched Frankenweenie and The Ghost Train (1941) The proper Halloween horror starts in a few minutes with Carpenter's classic and the sequel. Goodnight and Happy Halloween to you all. |

I was so broke up after Wednesday night my Halloween consisted of a mini pizza and bed at 9:30. Such an old b*stard hopefully next year I'll get back to 30 days of unseen.

Psycho II. 1983. After 22 years incarcerated, Norman Bates returns home and settles in to a new job and plans for the motel with work colleague Mary but soon mother stars making her presence known. A decent solid sequel with Anthony Perkins returning with Vera Miles as the sister of Marion who is hell bent on Norman being released and should still be locked up. Meg Tilly plays the young not so virgin Mary but her character is written well as the story goes on we are given a curve ball and good twist ending to the Bates story. Richard Franklin went in this as he would do with a decent nod to Hitchcock and made the sequel stronger to the previous film. That's it for this halloween viewing hope everyone had a good night last night. images.jpeg

It was a very busy viewing month for me, most days I managed to watch 2 films, didn't review them all because i'm not very good at that, but I have logged them and rated them all on my Letterboxd account.
