Necrostorm are worth a watch or two. They came to my attention when Amerikan Holocaust came out last year. They've released Adam Chaplin, Hotel Inferno and Taeter City, all worth an hour or two of your time. If you are a bit of a gorehound, like me....They are not awesome works of cinema but shit all over what passes as horror out of Hollywood. Give your eyes a treat!! Totally agree - indie horror is weird in the sense that you can end up going around sniffing out astronomically priced imports, or pick up bargain bin shit in the manner you suggested. Got hold of many hits via the latter route - 'Stitchface', 'The Factory' etc.
