Fantacide (2007)

Just watched Mather's Fantacide... some nice gore (but not OTT), mixed with some laughs. Some weird shit as well though... the cat shagging / beating / eating scene was just ridiculous, as was the cross dressing torture by love-tester connected to an electrocuting black rubber cock scene...

Not recommended if you are easily offended though... The soundtrack, which is arranged and performed by Mather himself is hilariously innappropriate too! On the whole it works really well as a gore-soaked beer and pizza movie, but that said, I watched it without the aid of either beer or pizza and have to say that on the whole I enjoyed it.

ive just watched it and loved most of it, the gore was great , the story was interesting and most parts were really funny but i do think the racism should be toned down a bit! it seemed that every character was racist in the film.

Outrageous gorefest, some horrible acting but who cares. Some very nasty scenes in there but for me this is a 10/10 movie. I'll watch this over and over and enjoy the FX

Ok. I'll do that with what i come across in the Reviews thread. Anything anyone else recommends can just be a normal post. Eg - Demoncrat's comment about Mulberry St.

Incidentally i thought Mulberry St was rubbish. It does have a lot of fans though.

Necrostorm are worth a watch or two. They came to my attention when Amerikan Holocaust came out last year. They've released Adam Chaplin, Hotel Inferno and Taeter City, all worth an hour or two of your time. If you are a bit of a gorehound, like me....They are not awesome works of cinema but shit all over what passes as horror out of Hollywood. Give your eyes a treat!!

I'm really no good at that "Here's a cover to look at.." business, but here's a link to their site; Necrostorm - Movies

And here's a link to the trailer to their most recent film, Infidus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5kSN2GDfuY

Totally agree - indie horror is weird in the sense that you can end up going around sniffing out astronomically priced imports, or pick up bargain bin shit in the manner you suggested. Got hold of many hits via the latter route - 'Stitchface', 'The Factory' etc.
