I would have preferred Black Christmas to be N1 instead of Halloween myself.

While Halloween isn't my favourite, its certainly a worthy winner. Some of the framing in that film is extraordinary and the atmosphere is superb.

Black Christmas has a superior atmosphere me thinks, hell call me crazy but I wouldn't even put it in a top 50.

I also prefer Black Christmas to Halloween - it's my favourite slasher film.
