Sickest horror movies...hmmmm...my list would run something like this: Nekromantik 1 & 2 Cannibal Holocaust Man Behind the Sun Naked Blood Salo Cannibal Ferox Red Room Aftermath There's others, but can't think of them right now. There's also the distasteful Mondo genre, but they're not really films in the traditional sense, more like faux documentaries.

Men Behind the Sun is definatley up there for me aswell. As is Iskanov's Philosophy of a knife which is based on the same events carried out in Unit 731, both very disturbing films, the latter is probably even more sickening than MBTS when it comes to the experiment scenes (although it's a bit of an endurance test at over 4 hours ![]() |

I dont really see the Cannibal genre as 'sickening', although I understand why some people would . I find films with a snuff theme sicking, as it shows how some humans get enjoyment outta the pain and suffering of fellow human beings, plus the people who'll happy provide it for them for no other reason but personal gain. I know its not a sickening film, but 8mm takes me into a world I dont wanna be in but takes me safely out again , a bit to quickly to be harrowing imo. Had the director keep the viewer in the wold of smut peddlers and extreme porn for the whole film I think it would have been one of the most horrowing films ever made. As we know that world we're being brought into is part of our world . The snuff footage in that film, although not extremely violent, is really disturbing. The lost look in the girls eyes then the tear really got to me. |

I see no reason why the BBFC should cut it. The animals act requires them to intervene when animals have been mistreated for the purpose of making a film. That's not the case here. |

Like yourself i found this a very taut and well made flick, and when i went to see it on its theatrical run, with my then wife, i was totally engrossed in it. The scene where cage has a gun to one of the snuff peddelers head, and the guy keeps ranting on about making a movie with cage's wife and kid,i blurted out, rather loudly,"just ****ing shoot him!" It was a friday night and the cinema was busy. My ex was horrified and told me to shut up in no uncertain terms. I can laugh about it now though. ![]() ![]() |
