It's been kindly returned to its original owner, together with a list of the many useful things that can be done with it (ie coaster, small frisbee etc). ![]() |

Women biting heads off snakes are fine... just not a puppy! ha. They also left the snake chopping in Friday the 13th. Not to mention the squid abuse in Oldboy... yet cut the fish abuse from The Isle i believe. Not seen the UK version however. |

Guess they would cut all of the Snake abuse from Stanley if it was re-submitted. Doesn't explain how Friday the 13th got through though! Hmmmm.

The snake scene in Friday the 13th was passed because it was a quick kill. Haven't seen Stanley but if they were killed in a similar way then that would explain why it was passed uncut. In any case if the BBFC passed it uncut in 2004 then it's highly unlikely to be cut next time as they seem to have finally got their act together recently regarding the animals act. As to why the BBFC appear to pass cruelty involving other animals you would probably need to ask them, they always give an intelligent and satisfying (for me anyway) reply. But the animals act is mostly about cruelty rather than killings. If somebody was seen to stand on a spider then it goes without saying that they wouldn't cut it. Obviously there are animals which aren't covered by the act. If somebody set fire to an ants nest would they cut it? Obviously not. The BBFC did explain why Old Boy was passed uncut, apparently it was because the first bite was considered to be decisive. haven't seen the film myself. |

It's not very decisive, as it's clearly seen still moving around... tenticles wrapping themselves around his face! Grim. Well, some snakes get shot, one has its head bit off and most get battered to death. It's also worth noting that Uwe Boll has managed to include some of the most graphic and sickening scenes of animal abuse in his movie Seed. A scene showing a poor dog getting clubbed, then a man stomping on it's throat truly repulsed me. |
