I think films like Snuf 102 and the August Underground stuff would rather stay BBFC unrated as it lends to their credibitly . A big red 18 would spoil the effect of 'real death' . Having seen all mentioned, plus Slaughtered Vomit Dolls and a good few more, I think the chances of these films becoming offered for bbfc classifing would be nil , as it's there underground status that sells them. Euro, I'd like to see Snuff 102 get a release as although it has some of the most violent scenes i've ever seen against a woman , its not just another fake snuff film , it has periods of calm that really screwed with my head and give me a feeling like none of these films had ever give me before. I'd love to have seen this film not knowing anything about it , as its a real powerful film that leaves you thinking , its hard to explain what about . I imagine the animal violence might be cut but its internet sorced so it might pass , but it would take the film as a whole to be passed uncut , and even if the bbfc agreed, the OPA & VRA would never allow this film a release . which is sad as imo its well made and acted compared to your average fake snuff dross, and if your look past the uproar you'll see that this film might shock, buts theres alot more to it than that. You seen it Angel, what did you make of it.? Please forgive the edits but this pad is seriously trying my patenince. Last edited by vipco; 16th August 2009 at 03:08 PM. |

snuff 102 is a great film, and without the animal cruelty it wouldn't make any difference to the film anyway. but there are alot of parts i think would be cut like the pregnant lady parts. i love the august underground trilogy and slaughtered vomit dolls and a lot of others like them but your right snuff 102 is different but i think a lot of people are put off it as its always mentioned with august underground or compared with it. |

Am i really on my own then as i can't stand any of the AU trilogy, i find them utterly repulsive and very very boring they have no shock value as far as i am concerned. they are not well made but yes i can see that they do appeal to their target audience, but that is only as their target audience don't know any better. for true shock value then check out the snuff footage in EIA. D'amato had a lot of faults but he knew how to make films unlike peeps today who just go for shock value. dons tin hat ![]() alex |

your not on your own i know a lot of people who don't like them and for the same reasons as you, but im not sure what you mean by the target audience don't know any better? i agree they are repulsive but i don't agree with them not being well made, the effects are fantastic and the acting is also great, i know the camera work and picture is shit but that's how its meant to look. ive not seen EIA and not sure what it is? |

That's also the point with amateur porn, I suppose. If you can make it look realistic you're most of the way there. These films set out to shock precisely because they look like something that some sicko would just shoot. It would hugely mess with most people's heads and it's not difficult to understand why.

EIA = Emanuelle In America They came straight out of film school to make these films and i don't deny they have talent, but take 5 mins and check out the careers of D'amato/Fulci/Argento etc. these guys learnt their trade the hard way. The AU trilogy has 1 aim and that is to shock and repulse, it doesn't make you think or entertain.but films like Salo/Men Behind the Sun will make you think while retaining the shock value As for well made with good effects i disagree give me AFtermath any day alex |

oh god yeah they do have loads more talent i cant disagree with that! myself i find the au films entertaining but i also agree that films like salo or men behind the sun do make you think a lot more! but to me there a different kind of film but men behind the sun is still a film that mostly relies on shocking the person viewing it even though its based on true events. aftermaths effect are great but it could be as all the effects are on dead people who dont move and its only a short film so they could spend more money on the amount of effects they had to use i would think. is EIA any good ? |

![]() It has 2 words that sell it for me Laura Gemser, it could be the biggest pile of poo going but those 2 words would still sell it for me. It's not everybodys cup of tea mainly because it has xxx footage inc beastiality with a horse. but the last 20 mins or so has what i would consider a snuff film would look like if ever one surfaced. but bear in mind it's 30 years old so makes you think when viewing the snuff effects so no computer trickery involved alex ![]() |

Yes I've seen Snuff 102, Vips. Although I have seen a fair number of extreme films I am not exactly a fan of them. I only watch them for censorship reasons. As it goes Snuff 102 is a film that I absolutely detest. |
