I got hold of a usa import of the quatermass conclusion,it has got the whole series plus a shortend down version, defo worth tracking down, very dark and downbeat for the time.

Sadly, I don't think Carpenter has any great films left in him. Not that he still doesn't have the talent to make great films, it's just that the cinematic "zeitgeist" of today just feels so antithetical to Carpenter's artistic sensibilities that he's become, for all intensive purposes, a walking anachronism. Like Norma Desmond the pictures just got too small for him. Dante too, by the looks of his last film.

Like many others here i love John Carpenter he was directed some of my favourite films but its not only his directing it is also his composing. His films have some AMAZING music.

I watched In The Mouth of Madness warner Blu last night. I'll leave my opinion/review over on "what films have you seen recently" shortly.

but in short I was impressed.

As I've often said,THE FOG is my favourite Carpenter flick.
CHRISTINE is another I never tire of watching.
