Mine didn't contain a poster either, although if it featured the design on the front cover (the photoshop job) then I think I will manage to live without it!

Anyway, I picked this one up over the Christmas period and was pleasantly surprised by it. I thought it was quite well made, I enjoyed the exotic locations, the music and the story with the ecological premise.

I think that the only thing that I didn't like were the cock fighting and the pig gutting scenes. The latter in particular was pretty nauseating to say the least! Having said all that, I'm glad that it was passed uncut by the BBFC despite my personal misgivings. I did enjoy the sleaze though!

Although I've never owned the Severin version it does sound as though the Shameless DVD is the infinitely superior choice due to the Italian track, the extras and the extra footage.

What I don't get is why - according to the post above - the Shameless DVD is allegedly superior to the Severin DVD in terms of "extra footage"? Both are said to be uncut so what's the difference? The X-rated DVD from Germany is also said to be uncut but includes deleted scenes. Did Shameless simply reinsert those back into the movie???
What is the exact PAL running time of the Shameless DVD? I have the X-rated DVD, so we could compare them.
Could anyone add the exact NTSC running time of the Severin DVD?

I believe the Shameless version includes scenes previously only available in the hardcore version (but not the hc ex), it's a Rebuild Edit. It runs for 85:21.

The x-rated runs 82.50 minutes in PAL. So the Shameless seems to be longer.

I had the german dvd and the credits are slightly shorter. I think Shameless just integrated the brief deleted scenes that were included as extras on the German edition. Also, I don't think there is a H/C version, which is strange as all the rest of Jolly Joe's Caribbean stuff has XXX inserts.

Saw sex and Black Magic a couple of weeks ago. That actually put me off watching Love Goddess for a while, it was so dull.

I bought it due to the fact Nieves Navarro had quite a few racy scenes, which she does to be fair. In fact she's nude nearly the whole movie and i became bored with the endless sex with absolutely no plot attached at all.

There are two black magic scenes, one at the start and one at the finale and no story whatsoever in between.

Hopefully D'Amato made a better film with Love Goddess of the cannibals.

LOVE GODDESS is much better than SEX AND BLACK MAGIC (aka ORGASMO NERO).
