My introduction to Celtic Frost came via the 'Speed Kills, Vol 1' compilation, which also featured Hallows Eve, Exodus, Destruction, Bulldozer, Metallica (who I already knew), Slayer (who I also knew), Possessed, Exciter, Venom, Voïvod, and Megadeth I had to order 'To Mega Therion' from a small independent record shop in Gosport, because it wasn't the kind of thing that HMV or Virgin in Portsmouth carried!

You should probably take away my Black Metal membership card but I have never listened to Celtic Frost!

Go and listen to Into The Pandemonium now. It's their most diverse album and features music in all their styles. Black, Gothic and er' Mexican Radio. (Which is brilliant) |

A friend of mine had the misfortune to see CF on their Cold Lake tour, complete with glam makeover. I still take the piss out of him today over it. I can't think of a musical turn of direction that alienated so many of the audience than the above. Anybody think of another?
