Physical wellbeing maybe, but going to gigs is great for your mental health I'm very jealous, not been to a proper show in ages, haven't been to a death metal show in YEARS

Marduk will blow your socks off

Not to be a big Donny downer or anything but honestly the only time I'm happy these days is the few hours I'm at a gig juat watching the newer generation of fans going bananas last night really made me smile. I'm almost nervous with excitement for Marduk four bands it's gonna be some night fingers crossed. The driving is a bit of a nightmare when your on your own I'll just make regular coffee stops on the way down.

My lack of enthusiasm about driving to gigs on my own kills them it for me and i just don't bother.

The hassle of negotiating the city and finding a parking space when you've nobody to discuss / argue / curse with is too much hassle. Especially since the last time i drove from the other side of Manchester everywhere had become one way with streets i previously used unable to access.

I'm lucky I drive to a massive carpark on the edge of Dublin and there is a tram system into the city centre it's all motorway right to the car park literally a straight line from Waterford to Dublin but the downside is it's a boring drive alone and at night it's even worse

It's the costs for me, 99% of the time there are no gigs in Liverpool (unlike the 90s when it was guaranteed) and I don't have a car, so i'd either have to rent a car or take the train, and then the gig finishes too late to get a train home so I have to pay for a hotel as well, even a ?20 gig in Manchester is going to cost me over ?100 and that's before food, drinks and a t-shirt

Has Abbath calmed down? I saw some pretty wild videos of his American tour, he was a bit of a car wreck to be honest.

Was that recently because I know he had a melt down in Bogota a few years back but I thought it was doing ok again.

Spiritual Beggars - Angel of Betrayal

Ad Astra (2000)

This was the first song that got me into Michael Amott's side project band.

They've released 9 albums so far.

It may not be extreme but it sure as shit rocks.
