No its the same as it always was DME promotions . To be honest i personally think that its the big Eastern European community here now that has made extreme metal more popular while in line at every single gig this year most people are from that part of the world.

That's probably why no-one comes to Liverpool, we have a huge Arabic community and they do not like metal at all We get Taylor Swift at Anfield Stadium though

We used to get My Dying Bride, Cathedral, Emperor, Cradle of Filth, At the Gates, Fear Factory, Carcass, Anathema, Cancer, Bolt Thrower etc etc at almost weekly basement gigs. Also the likes of Sepultura, Paradise Lost and Pantera headlining the theatre to 1000s.

The 90s were amazing, all of this on my doorstep

Journey, Mr. Big, Electric Six and Gary Numan is about as heavy as Liverpool gets this year.

You do seem to get a ridiculous amount of tribute acts.
