This is on more than one mix tape. It's not a typical driving song but as b_e alluded to, is perfect in the right context of the cassette.

Type O Negative - My Girlfriend's Girlfriend

A more typical driving song.

Prong - Whose Fist Is This Anyway?

Default Driving Music

I don’t drive, but I do travel a lot on peasant wagons to and from lessons 6 days a week, so to drown out the sound of old ladies nattering and babies screaming, I’ve always got my earphones in and music playing. Because I’m using my phone as my listening device, I’m listening to all kinds of stuff streamed on Spotify, and have various playlists created for the journeys, mainly rock and metal stuff like Pantera, Sepultura, Alice in Chains, Slipknot, Slayer, Maiden, Nirvana etc.
By chance I figured out that on Mondays if I start Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon the second I leave my house, and there’s no traffic or the bus isn’t late, the last few bars of Eclipse are playing just as I arrive at my students house for the first lesson of the day, so that has become a Monday ritual for me

There are loads of Manowar worth driving to but i choose this as i love the chugging riff and soaring chorus.

Many would choose Wheels of Steel if they were going to choose a Saxon song for a compilation of driving music. I however would opt for this.

Saxon - 747 (Strangers in the Night)

Most people if they were to choose driving music sung by Ian Gillan probably wouldn't automatically pick this.

Black Sabbath - Trashed

Note to readers - Don't get trashed then get behind a wheel. Despite what Sabbath say it's not Brands Hatch and you probably won't survive a high speed crash and more importantly you endanger others.

The difference between a driving song in American and a driving song in England

American has the late 70's fantasy of Springsteen's "Born To Run", while England has the late 70's reality of
