Found a track recorded at college today that I hadn't uploaded onto Soundcloud yet, so I've been listening to some of the other stuff I was involved in recording there a couple of years ago, I play guitar on all the tracks and engineered them all too. Listening to them again has made me want mix them again as they seem rushed to me

Cheers yeah, it was hard work trying to find the "note" using an Allen key (same way Tom Morello recorded the original) and nobody wanted to have a go at the vocals for that one, shame really. Incidently, the lad on drums had only heard the song once before we recorded it, around an hour before we did it!

Fair play to the drummer sounded really good. Not an easy vocal to pull off by any means.

Picked up the latest Metal Hammer today.

16 pages of Maiden, all about the Seventh Son album. So it was natural to listen to it whilst reading the article.

Still my favourite Iron Maiden album, in truth none of the others come close in my estimations.

I can't wait for the dvd on the 25th.

Black Star Riders’ debut single Bound For Glory.

Yes, its Lizzy after the name change. Can't wait for the album because this is a great sing-a-long anthem.

I love the idea of Nine Inch Nails being one of the biggest MTV rock bands of the moment thanks to Wish and they send this video to MTV to promote their new album - the execs must have been like WTF?!? It's probably one of my favourite music videos.

Nine Inch Nails - March Of The Pigs (Unclean Live) - YouTube

But I also get a massive kick out of this version of Gave Up filmed 'live' at the Tate house. I wish this was the version on the EP but what can you do. It's cool to see Manson before he became Public Enemy #1

You did this with the VHS offer, mate - it helps if you tell people what they are, or at least give an idea of the genre.

(And for the record, not really, but I have been known to pick up the odd single). I still buy physical cds rather than downloads where possible.
