I'm currently on a second playback of the new Rob Zombie record - The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy - and really liking it. Crazy songs with even crazier titles. Seriously, if The Serenity of Witches isn't the name of his next film then he's missing a trick. Zombie sticks to the formula that has worked so well over his career with loads of weird and wonderful musical interludes between actual songs, with the songs themselves being classic Zombie bangers. As with Motorhead and AC/DC, Rob Zombie has a formula and sticks to it so if you love your spook show spectaculars then you'll love this new record as i do. Here's a spooky, sleazy little number from the depths of the album Rob Zombie - Boom-Boom-Boom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0pakH-lELw |

Gave the new Accept album Too Mean to Die the once over tonight. I'd forgotten i'd not listened to it. Always a reliable band, this album is no different. Eleven hard hitting and catchy songs with a stunning production from Andy Sneap. Here's the title track. Accept - Too Mean to Die http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHwCTnH5_Z8 Too Mean to Die (2021) .................................................. ............................. So far i've bought six new releases in 2021. Last year i bought eight new releases in total all year. If i was to rank them... Foo Fighters - Medicine at Midnight Rob Zombie - The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy Alice Cooper - Detroit Stories Accept - Too Mean to Die (From one listen through) The Pretty Reckless - Death By Rock n Roll Epica - Omega (From one listen through) This does not mean the Epica album is poor. It really isn't, it's very good, that's the beauty of Youtube. You can check things out before a purchase. All six releases are highly recommended. The Foo Fighters one is definitely my favourite. It's so different and i love the pop hooks too. If it was ranked on packaging alone then The Pretty Reckless with it's fold out Jean Rollin esq poster of a topless (uncovered) Taylor Momsen laid out on a tombstone wins hands down. :pound: Since last September when artists began releasing albums again there have been some really strong new releases. Now may be a bad time in general but as far as rock music goes it's pretty darn good in my opinion. |

I was only going to play March of the Pigs but I ended up playing the whole album! So many good songs. |

Starting your Saturday off with a bang :D Going to be chanting "Devil Man, Devil Man" in my head all day lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRshPCM9lhk |
I used to think that I was special, that I was a music lover. But over time, communicating with other people, I realized that I am the same as many others. That my tastes are multifaceted. I love classics, but I also love post-hardcore. I love techno, but I also love rap. And each music belongs to a different activity. On a run, I can listen to Eminem and Drake. While working I can listen to ARTBAT and Fatboy Slim. Sitting on the porch of my house and drinking beer, I can listen to Tchaikovsky. And I realized that this is normal for me. Do you have the same tastes or do you only listen to one kind of music? But right now I'm listening to Fatboy Slim in Brighton (I think it is the best set) youtube dot com slash watch?v=8AvC05kXS9I (I can't insert a link, but I want to recommend to you this great set) |

I just keep hold of what i like and jettison the rest, although once i like something it tends to stick with me, I still listen to stuff i enjoyed growing up. I was always watching a lot of films from an early age so have always heard stuff on soundtracks, and have got into a lot of stuff that way, i really like a lot of Giallo soundtracks at the moment. Now with the internet i often look for a song on youtube and end up listening to a load of stuff randomly from there. So basically if i'm all for giving stuff a listen and if i like it then it'll end up on a playlist somewhere, i have many for different types of music depending on my mood.:pop2: |
