Although not the greatest decade for metal there were some damned good albums including Slayer's own Seasons in the Abyss.

Others up for consideration -

Megadeth - Rust in Peace
NIN - The Downward Spiral
Faith no More - Angel Dust
Opeth - Still life
Metallica - Black
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Guns n' Roses - Illusion II
Skid Row - Slave to the Grind
Type o' Negative - Bloody Kisses
Killing Joke - Pandemonium
Anthrax - Sound of White Noise
Alice in Chains -
Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun
Devin Townsend - Ocean Machine
Rob Zombie - Hellbilly Deluxe
Queensryche - Empire
Nirvana - Nevermind
Deicide - Deicide
Mayhem - De mysteriis dom Sathanas
Sepultura - Chaos AD
Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction
Motörhead - 1916
Darkthrone - A Blaze in the Northern Sky

There will be tons more i expect.

You probably didn't expect this reply to your innocent comment, Justin.

However, i'm waiting for my tea to cook and i'm bored, Klytus.

Some of those I wouldn't consider metal in it's pure form, but I agree every single album on that list is bloody cracking, I'll change my comment to best live metal album of the 90's (Don't bring out Live in Leipzig because bootlegs don't count )

I'll agree with Live album of the 90's. In fact it's possibly my fave live album ever. Well that and Kiss Alive!, Lizzy's Live and Dangerous, Live after Death and Tribute (Ozzy)

A simple song, but I somehow come back to it every once in a while. So many memories connected to it - both nice and nasty...

Eels- I Like The Way This Is Going

I love that song, and all of Eels albums – Mark E Everett is a brilliant songwriter, singer, and musician. I keep meaning to buy his book (Things the Grandchildren Should Know) but will wait until I have time to read it!

Totally agree. He's pretty much underrated. I especially like how he varies his own songs from performance to performance, always adapting the music to the audience. A good example is "I Like Birds".

Version 1: Pukkelpop Festival Belgium (song starts at 3.03)

Version 2: Royal Albert Hall
