What Are You Listening To?

I've been watching this Nightwish concert from Wacken 2013 this afternoon, the audience is going wild and Floor Jansen is the best thing to happen to this band for years! As much as I love Tarja and appreciate what she did to elevate the band, Floor has much better stage presence and her voice is by far less grating.

Was it on the Once tour? She seemed like she wasn't really bothered about being there at that point. I haven't been to a concert with Floor though, just seen them on t'internet but I think she fits the band better.

It was at Manchester Academy and they and she was brilliant. I truly think Nightwish would be nothing without Tarja.

To me Floor is a good singer but there are so many just like her that any would do. Annette was preferable as her voice changed the dynamic of songs.

In fact i'd go as far as saying Nightwish lost it by 20% when Tarja left then another 10% when Annette left. Pretty soon i'm sure they'll disappear up their own overproduced, fantasy, storytelling backside.

No we won't damn you! ...we'll battle it out until blood is spilled and we are both banned from the forum!

Don't get me wrong. I do like Nightwish. I've had the Vehicle of Spirit dvd on pre-order for a few weeks now. They just lost a bit of magic when Tarja left.

Oh and i do think they need to drop the storytelling (This isn't Jackanory) and just rock.

There alright, much prefer Nirvana though. certainly don't love em, so i must be the odd one out here.

Yeah concept albums can be a bit rubbish, but if that's what they want to do it's fine by me
