I've never been a U2 fan, I do like the War album but that's about it. I completely went off them when they hijacked everyone's iTunes account in 2014 and forced that album on us all

Their newest album isn't too bad I have to admit, really though this is the only U2 album I wanted

Personally i think they have a selection of great songs on every album, sadly when i say selection i mean about three. The rest are more often than not totally forgettable.

Their only essential album as far as i'm concerned is Achtung Baby.

I have their two Best of albums, and The Joshua Tree because it's on the NME list of the best 250 albums ever made; I was trying to own all of them.

U2 have some songs which are really well crafted, performed and easy to listen to, but many of them (a bit like the band themselves) are just very boring. In that sense, they are a little like an older version of Coldplay.

I hadn't noticed until you pointed it out, but the t-shirt seems like computerised graphics, the sky is completely different and the wall too. Derek Riggs signature has been erased as well.

Perhaps they thought the new image looked more realistic. Which it does, but it's really needed in my opinion.

According to the album's Wiki page - The re-release also features a different cover; a digital recreation by original artist Derek Riggs, with a portion of the original artwork instead being used on the disc itself.
