I loved the early albums, when they were a disposable, bubblegum band: 'Kiss' (1974), 'Hotter Than Hell' (1974), 'Dressed to Kill' (1975), 'Destroyer' (1976), 'Rock and Roll Over' (1976) and 'Love Gun' (1977) are all essential party rock albums with nary a duff track among them
Then they did the four solo albums, which were ego overload, and range from the enjoyable to the unlistenable! [I think that Paul's one is the best]
'Dynasty' has a great cover of the Stones' '2,000 Man', but it also had *
that* disco song
'Unmasked' I remember nothing about
Controversial choice, but 'Music From The Elder' is my all time favourite KISS album
By the time they got to 'Creatures Of The Night', they had turned into a heavy metal band. It was a fun record, but the only thing that that made them stand out from all the other metal bands of the era was the make-up they wore
Then they took the make-up off, and I stopped listening to them!
