Vol 1 is fun. It covers the period 1974 - 1977 through various means. Some of the footage is quite ropey, but it's ALL good.

However...a lot of the songs are repeated over and over and over....I have lost count of the number of occasions I have heard Paul Stanley say 'This place is so hot, I think we need to call" (pause while he walks to the back of the stage to get a hat) "the FIREHOUSE". And Gene Simmons spits blood... and breathes fire

I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying that there is a lot of repetition in the sets

Also, I was led to believe that KISS shows were very over-the-top, but this set shows that the theatrics were used sparingly in the early days

Personally, I would love to see something similar done by Alice Cooper, showing how his live sets have evolved over the years
