It's only the second time I've seen them (last time in 2011) despite being a fan since 1989, up until a few years back nobody I hung around with liked them and I've never fancied going on my own.
This time though, I'm going with two of my band mates and members from another local band, plus meeting up with some fellow musicians from my old workplace

If it wasn't so damn expensive in the Leeds Arena, they'd be plenty of beers sunk during the gig, luckily there's a Wetherspoons across the road (which I imagine will be crammed like the last time I was in before a Slash gig!)

Same here, I've only seen Maiden once and it was with Blaze Bailey, this will be my first time with Bruce which is why I'm all the more excited I've resolved to not let being a lone metalhead stop me from seeing bands, none of my friends are interested. Going to see Maiden and Alice Cooper on my own so far this year, probably more if they come up.

Nowt wrong with that, a mate of mine went to both Oasis Knebworth gigs on his own, sleeping in his car overnight between them.

And one of my band mates travelled all the way to Texas to watch Kings of Leon, Anthrax/Slayer/Megadeth and Rush over 3 consecutive nights on his own, now that's frigging crazy!
