Don't mean to sound like a non-fan but that set list is really uninteresting to me.

I'm glad i'm not going.

1. If Eternity Should Fail
2. Speed Of Light
3. Wrathchild
4. Children Of The Damned
5. Death Or Glory
6. The Red And The Black
7. The Trooper
8. Powerslave
9. The Great Unknown (live debut)
10. The Book Of Souls
11. Fear Of The Dark
12. Iron Maiden

Encore:
13. The Number Of The Beast
14. Blood Brothers
15. Wasted Years

There's also a new intro video, which looks like it was filmed in 3D to me!

Saw this the other day, bit gutted they've dropped Hallowed Be Thy Name as its my favourite song by them, but I did get to see them play it in 2011.

It might change when they come here next month, but I doubt it because they usually plan the set months in advance for all the lighting programming and backdrop designs and stick with it

Rik - you are probably the forums biggest Maiden fan

Is this the first tour where they have not done 'Run To The Hills'?

I don't think so, I'm sure they've done a couple before (pre Beast on the Road not included obviously).
Let me do some digging

Right, it wasn't in the set for both the X Factour (1995) and Virtual XI tour (1998), obviously due to the vocal limitations of Blaze Bayley, it returned for 1998's Edhunter tour and stayed until the Matter of Life & Death tour in 2006. It appeared again for the next tour, A Matter of the Beast (2007) and stayed until the Final Frontier tour (2010-11). It was back again for the Maiden England tour (2012-14) and then dropped again for the current tour.

So it was missing for the following tours:
X Factour (1995)
Virtual XI world tour (1998)
A Matter of Touring (2006)
Final Frontier world tour (2010-11)
The Book of Souls world tour (2016-17)

I could've sworn they played it in 2011 when I saw them, but checking setlist.fm I'm mistaken

A lot of fans are disappointed by the set list, I think it's fine, they're at least playing my favourite tracks from Book of Souls, admittedly it is a bit heavily biased towards that album considering how long the songs are!

The title track is my second favourite from that album, after Empire of the Clouds, so I'm looking forward to seeing them play it live

Re: 'Run To The Hills' - it seems a strange choice of a song to drop from the set, considering it was their first top 10 hit and effectively the song that made them
