Just following on from my quote from Blackie Lawless on the bass being the tool of ignorance. When i first read it - when W.A.S.P. hired Johnny Rod so Blackie could play guitar - i was appalled as i thought the bass players in my favourite bands were the coolest members and the larger than life metal heroes. We're talking 86-90 here so Sixx, Harris, Simmons, Lemmy, Araya, Burton and yes Blackie himself.   Rik and bleakshaun like this. |
