That's not daft at all. That's more of relevance to the book i believe than saying what a great singer he is.

I'm a bit gutted that I didn't go to the signing in Liverpool, but it started at 6pm and they were advising the people to start queuing early as only x-amount of people would be allowed to the join the queue. I don't usually get back from work until 6 as well. On the other hand, I WOULD have frozen up and said something stupid to him and then dwelt upon for days afterwards. Sometimes it's better to not meet your idols

Having said that, I hope you got to meet him Rik! Show us your book!

Got there at about 9:15 and the queue was already quite long, so I grabbed a coffee from Greggs and joined the back of it. It wasn’t supposed to start until 11 but because of the amount of people and the fact he’s doing another in Nottingham at 4, they let people in at about 10:45.
Because of how quick you go through, all I got to say was thanks ha ha. Pretty well organised though, as we were queuing, staff members came round and wrote our names on post-it notes stuck into the front of the book so when I handed it over he could write it straight away without messing about. They also had a member of his team take your phone so he could take plenty of photos of Bruce signing the book and that’s it, out the door!
As I walked out I walked passed the queue and it was still miles long, so I’m glad I left early enough, despite being shattered from last nights gig (gonna be flagging during tonight’s Halloween gig!)

Excellent stuff, Rik.

Not really a meet and greet just a quick signature and away. That's fair enough. I hate it when people suddenly open a rucksack and ask a celeb to sign every bit of memorabilia they have. This sounds organized. It's a little impersonal but will in the end make a lot more people happy to get their signed copy.

Love the fact Bruce was wearing a Dalek t-shirt too.

Yeah, he was only signing books, it said on the website that he won’t sign other stuff which I agree is better so more fans get their books signed and judging by the size of the queue (both in front of me and behind), that was a Hell of a lot of fans today!
I bet his hand is aching like mad tonight seeing as he’s doing 2 today!
