Resist is a great album you should definitely listen to it As good as Hydra is for sure. Not convinced about the new one because the songs I've heard already are nowhere near as good as either album.

They’re all a bit different and most have evolved their sound. For me it IS Within Temptation and their best album is (in my opinion) The Unforgiving. However, you also have Nightwish, Delain, Epica, Lacuna Coil, Visions of Atlantis etc

They all started in a similar place and now none of them sounds anything like the other.
