I bought Killers as my first Maiden album because my friends computer, an Amiga maybe, had Killers Eddie as the loading screen It's probably my favourite for nostalgic reasons, but not my favourite for content.

The rest is history...

It was actually my first metal record too just based off the cover my young fragile mind couldn't handle how amazing it was

I think it’s still my favourite album cover from Maiden although Powerslave comes a very close second.

On the killers cover I was always drawn to the person in the window with the green curtains thinking imagine how scared they are watching Eddie murdering someone. Sad I know but hey I was young and fragile

As for artwork it's hard for me to pick between Powrslave and Somewhere in time for best artwork after killers of course.

'Iron Maiden' is a great cover, but

'Somewhere In Time' beats it, although 'Powerslave' is the best (if only because I have got a signed cover) [ignore my old name]

Changing the topic a bit, but great memorabilia there Susan.

Love that I only have a couple of things signed but nothing as high profile as a group of legends.

Live After Death on cassette was the first Maiden album i ever owned.

That cover art is immense. Sums up the scariness, the evil and the intensity of metal beautifully.

I was listening to it again last night. A wonderful introduction to Maiden for a teen as i was at the time and remains probably my favourite live album.

Like so many of you i was fascinated with the Somewhere in Time artwork and pored over it for hours over the years. Likewise with Piece of Mind which i always found scary in my teens.

Not so with Dance of Death and Virtual XI which are bloody awful.

Live after Death is a beauty the colours of it really pop off the cover.

Dance of Death is horrendous what made them think that was a good idea.

Love that new Priest album cover by the way. You can tell what the music is like just by looking at it.
