New Deep Purple - Pictures Of You

Another good Purple song. Maybe not as much fun as 'Portable Door', but an entertaining song nevertheless

New Deep Purple: 'Lazy Sod'

"Packed with humorous lyrics including "The world?s on fire / And I can't get my arse out of bed", 'Lazy Sod' was partially inspired by a conversation frontman Ian Gillan had about Dolly Parton's prolific songwriting.

"Recently, a young journalist asked me how many songs I had written in my life. I replied that the last time my assistant counted, twenty years ago, it was over 500," Gillan said.

"I felt quite accomplished until she pointed out Dolly Parton's 5,000 songs, calling me a lazy sod. I couldn't help but agree and wrote down the exchange in my notebook.""

Aerosmith have officially retired from touring. Due to permanent injury to Steven Tyler's vocal chords.

Whether they can still play one off shows or record music is not addressed.

There's a rather nifty Nightwish key ring in the shape of a key with the latest edition of Metal Hammer.

The magazine has a Nightwish cover and also has a nice art print of Floor Jansen.

Really like that latest Nightwish song, Dave. It's different.

I wasn't going to buy the new cd based on the first song being all too familiar but this was good. Plus it's only $9.99 as well which is value for money.
