Not sure exactly how it's happened, but it looks like I'm off to this years Cropredy festival!

It's usually a good time, and Fairport are always good value, shame there is no Alice this year, I'd have loved to have been there with all those old folkies while Alice is rearing around the stage on one crutch singing about being 18

I grew up about 10 miles away from Cropredy there so have been a fair few times,(was my first festival.)
looks like it's getting a lot bigger though, the prices have shot up recently.
Used to be a very small, mellow festival, where everyone would just chill out.
Saw Jethro Tull there, All About Eve and Robert Plant, also saw Mr Plant wandering about in the crowd and said hello.

"Don’t miss The Who live in April 2017! Playing a new focused presentation of Tommy plus their Greatest Hits. This UK set will emulate the historic period around Live At Leeds and Woodstock when the core of the show was always Tommy. For Who fans new and old this is something special that hasn’t been done by the band or seen by their audience since 1970."

Oh yes! I WILL be there!!

Which one Susan? Brum?

I've never been a fan of The Who at all but my mum went a couple of years ago to Liverpool Arena and she enjoyed it.

Yes. Birmingham is the closest venue to us at the moment

I have seen them 3 times in the past:

2002 at the Portsmouth Guildhall, when they played a Teenage Cancer Charity Show

2013 in Birmingham, when they performed 'Quadrophenia' in its entirety

2014 in Birmingham, when they were on their 50th anniversary tour

The last three acts I saw were Lau (a Scottish folk band), the Halle Orchestra (self explanatory, performing a variety of classical music over an evening) and Treacherous Orchestra (a Scottish folk-rock band). Treacherous Orchestra were a man short (one of the fiddlers), so there was 'only' nine of them on the stage including a drummer, bassist, lead guitarist, keyboards, fiddle, pipes/bagpipes (x2), acoustic guitar, and banjo. They were awesome, and highly recommended.

The most recent tickets I have bought are for KT Tunstall (plus Braids) at the Sage Gateshead on November 2. I have seen her there before and thought she was incredible, so I am really looking forward to seeing her perform some new material.

This is Treacherous Orchestra playing live – imagine them on the stage half this size and in a much smaller venue to get some idea of what they were like on the smaller hall at Sage Gateshead.

I just bought tickets for Regina Spektor, she's doing a bit of a tour in November, not sure which is local for you Nos but she's doing 2 nights at the Festival Hall in London.

EDIT: She's playing at The Sage in Gateshead I had you down as a southerner for some reason,

I'm a big fan of hers so I'll see if I am free that day and, if so, get tickets.

I live in the north east of England.
