It seems that a big problem with recent exorbitant prices has been dynamic pricing, a new concept to me, and one which could easily see people pay much more than expected or originally budgeted for.

Imagine going to the cinema with your family where there is a screening of a popular film from the 1990s, such as Titanic or Jurassic Park, and it is advertised with tickets costing $10.

The people at the front of the queue paid $10 but, as the queue gets longer, people start being charged $12, then $15, then $20. By the time you get to the front, tickets are $75 and you would still like to buy some popcorn.

It doesn't seem at all fair to rapidly escalate prices when there is high demand and force people to decide between missing out on a concert they would love and facing financial hardship by buying a ticket, with the cost for a family with transport and accommodation running to thousands of pounds.

How much money do best selling musicians, whether Oasis or Taylor Swift, really need?

Exactly, 70 thou at 150 each = 10 1/2 million, not bad for one concert, if that ain't greed then what is?

I get all this bigger venue more cost fair play, but 100% p taking,

Sleeper are playing at king George Hall,
Less than 5 thou,

an artist is an artist irrelevant is they're popular or not all doing the same job and wanting to earn a living,

If a band can play in a small venue for a good price then no excuse for a band to play at a larger venue for a few quid more.

My petition is for concert tickets to be a reasonable and affordable once price is set then its illegal to sell above that price not even Ticketmaster.
Problem is Ticketmaster are one of the worse ones and they have most of the monopoly in selling tickets.

How often do you hear ppl say how much? I like the band but not worth that, a lot and that's even at 75 tickets,

Slowly ppl are wising up, amount of ppl even hardcore fans refused to pay 125 for Pearl Jam tickets,
That not affordable if you are a family of 4 and all like the band and want to go and treat your kids then its going into the ?800 plus if add travel, food, merchandise, and some cases overnight stay,
How's that affordable?

I saw The Darkness years ago and they were supported by Ash then, and the headliners were definitely the second best band on stage that night.

The Darkness have great novelty value and I wouldn't avoid seeing them but, musically, there are many better and more accomplished bands around.

Apparently tickets for Birmingham are UK$87.80, UK$99.10 and UK$110.40 (but it seems that this includes a service fee, ?2.95 admin fee per order and ?1 postage fee )

I don't mind Maiden saw them once In the 90s, knew most of their stuff, but not a band I follow much so anything since then I'm lost and probably no idea.
