My three Maiden concert brochures including my first ever gig - Monsters of Rock 1988.

I stopped buying them as they were too much like hard work to carry round and hold onto. The only later concert brochure i have is for Kylie's Showgirl tour in 2005. It's a ridiculously lavish affair that would probably cost about fifty quid nowadays.

I was never really into buying books at concerts - I think the only have ones I have were for Meat Loaf in 1982 (the Dead Ringer Tour), the two Maiden in Southampton shows and Status Quo in 1984 (the End Of The Road tour)

I was more interested in getting the tour t-shirts from the bands I saw, and at the height of my concert going had a collection that numbered well into three figures

I had to stop getting them when they became too expensive (relatively speaking, that is. I refused to pay UK$15 for a tour t-shirt in the early 90's. Nowadays UK$15 might just about get you a drink at the bar !)

Sadly, thanks to moths and my expanding figure, most of them ended up either being donated to charity shops or gaining a new lease of life as dusters !

To be honest none of the ones i have are all that great. Barely any text, just a load of pictures. I wouldn't buy one nowadays.

I got the Book of Souls one but only because the merch opened at lunchtime outside the venue and I could take it home. It?s pretty big and has loads of pics and all the tour dates etc. it?s nice but I haven?t looked at it since the show lol.

The only programme I bought was Somewhere On Tour.
Only other programmes are AC DC Razors Edge, Heart Brigade, Genesis Invisible touch and Uriah Heep Different World.

I'm more in to tour T-Shirts but that's becoming a bit expensive now depending on the band.

I was only 16 when i saw Maiden touring Seventh Son so those tee shirts are long gone. The tour brochures are all that remain from my first two gigs. Oh and Maiden England 88 of course on dvd.

The earliest tour shirt i still have is from R.E.M.'s Monster tour in 1995 and then Bon Jovi's These Days tour in 1996. They still fit me and i wear them.

Yeah, a hell of a lot of my T-shirts are long gone as well.
After the usual of wearing them down the pub for ages, I used to wear them to work and they got all worn and torn.
I've still got an old Girlschool T-shirt that I would not even get in to. If I did it would be like a boob tube!
