Surprisingly, grunge is far from dead and there are several excellent tracks on the album. It will take time and several more listens to see where it stands in comparison to the albums Soundgarden made in the 90s but, as the first track says, they've been away too long!

Yeah, as much as I liked the stuff Chris was doing with Audioslave, it was basically Rage Against the Machine with a different singer so I always preferred his work with Soundgarden, he seems more suited to that type of material IMO

I see what you mean, but I really like the Audioslave albums as they are different to the Rage against the Machine material with some slower, more melodic songs, perfectly suited to Chris Cornell's voice.

yeah its a great comp,I luv the way they've jumped on the zombie bandwagon with the sleeve,but a great selection of tunes.
