New albums

Pride and Glory - Pride and Glory

David Bowie - Hours

Hours is superb. It's a collaboration between Bowie and long time guitarist Reeves Gabrels, both have song writing credits on all the tracks. The music is quite spacey and it's very much a guitar album ala Pink Floyd. I've listened to it through five times since it arrived on Saturday morning and it just gets better with each listen.

Read an article in Classic Rock and thought I would check this album out.
Listened to a few tracks on youtube first.

I read the same article and also one in Planet Rock. To be honest i'm not sure what to make of it. It's very slick and over produced but some of Sambora's blues also shines.

Now that it's in HMV's 2 for £15 offer i think i'll check it out.

It's an album of assortments really.
One track is rocking, the next a country music vibe and the next a love song. I have played it a couple of times and I find it an enjoyable album overall.

A couple of charity shop purchases. 75p each. The pics make the cases seem far scruffier than they actually are, both are in very good condition.

Boston - Boston
Amy Macdonald - This is the Life

I remember Nos recommending the Amy Macdonald album to me ages ago. I had a listen online, liked what i heard so added it to my wishlist, and now i own it.
