The best thing about it is the record label is called 'Heavy Metal Worldwide' It's out of the shelf now so tomorrow I'm going to be playing it loud for the residents of my building while I work

Always loved Howard Shore's soundtrack on Cronenberg's The Fly. Plasma pool was used in the film twice, once where Seth (Jeff Goldblum) is heading out to a bar and second when Stathis ( John Getz) goes to rescue Ronnie (Geena Davis) towards the end.

I've probably posted this before but it doesn't matter. Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman's music for Michael Mann's Last of the Mohicans is truly stunning. I get goosebumps any time i hear it. The main title with it's sweeping theme and Promentory which plays throughout the movie especially during it's climactic showdown. |

Meanwhile Braveheart, despite any historical inaccuracies is still a thunderously exciting film with battle sequences yet to be beaten to this day and this beautiful lilting theme from James Horner that holds it all together. |

Gladiator
Following the events of the previous three hours, Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrards Now We Are Free allows us a peaceful exit from this world to the next. Although there are vocals they are part of the music rather than lyrics sung. |

As everyone knows I'm a HUGE Dead Can Dance and Lisa Gerrard fan and when Gladiator came out I was over the moon with their collaboration. Now We Are Free is such a cathartic moment in the film especially as the melodic theme is used throughout the film before being expanded in full at the end. I'm going to listen to it right now in fact
