As soon as it appears as a pre-order on 88's site I'll be ordering it, I've got me skulls to spend.

Seriously. I can't imagine why someone who only wanted the dvd would want to pay extra for a dual release.

Surely it's better paying £8 for the dvd and £9 for the blu for example as sold in HMV, rather than £13-£15 for a dual like Arrow discs cost.

I'm the opposite - the Blu-Rays in the dual releases have never seen the inside of my Blu-Ray player!

I suppose the idea with dual formats was to future proof, when I bought my HD tv I immediatly bought a blu player now all I watch 90% of the time is blu's. I know people at work who have full HD packages - tv, Sky HD etc but don't own a blu player.

Of course it could also be cost cutting. Put the two discs together at the premium price for the consumer and save money on packaging and printing on the dvd.

Perhaps this should be on the Arrow thread. It's nothing to do with 88 Films who release both blu and dvd's in excellent packages.

Possibly but 88 did put it to us the customers last year on FaceBook - Dual format or seperate releases. As a certain amount of people complain about the blu's having scanner noise and things ( I have commented on the wierd magenta bands before on some releases) perhaps they should stick to the dvd releases. Altough I'm sure I read on blu-ray.com the other day that LVR have replaced their old HD scanner with a newer one. If that's true I wonder if their staff have been trained on how to use it properly?

Oh jeez not again...

Just got SS Experiment Camp from Amazon UK. Came in a blue case instead of the proper translucent one.

I'm losing my mind over these inconsistent cases damnit!
