So who's managed to watch their Burial Ground blu yet? I was late back home last night so didn't have chance to watch the film, I did have a quick flick through and it looks very good. I really love the addition of deleted scenes, it's such a rare thing for there to be any deleted scenes from Italian films so it's a great addition.

Well I fobbed off X Files last night in favour of Burial Ground. 88 have an amazing job on the restoration, such a bad film has no right in looking so good! Audio is top notch too, I opted for the Italian soundtrack which works much better with the film. Extras are also very good, the Mike Koven piece is informative and makes me wish more Bianchi titles were available! For me though the top extra is the deleted scenes, a holy grail of exploitation films to begin with as most unused sequences were simply destroyed. It's great to see off cuts or extensions of scenes. It's just s shame there are no known deleted scenes from many other Italian horrors. 88 have done a great job of resurrecting Burial Ground, it looks and sounds fantastic! |
