Maybe they're in money trouble and in desperate need of Xmas sales to make it to the end of the financial year?
When they acquired that Hollywood classics licensing company didn't they also take on metrodrome debts?

Aren't the titles going out of print all Shout Factory repackages? I bet they've finished their deal with the American company.

Definitely looks like they're all Shout titles. As others have pointed out, Elvira's not even been out for 3 weeks.

The date indicates a rights issue rather than a financial one; licenses and rights would run on calendar years whereas the financial year doesn't finish until the end of March.

It must be gutting to have to clear out stock of a film three weeks after you've launched it.

So i've just noticed that they released the Lawnmower Man movies in standard editions this month. And now the first one is actually using the theatrical poster on the cover, instead of Scream Factory's awful one where Jeff Fahey looks like Katie Price Now I'm going to have to order it before it goes out of print!
