I've never seen Cutthroat Island; I know it had a troubled production, was slated by the critics when it was theatrically released, and has been cited as responsible for the demise of Carolco Pictures. Even with that dubious reputation, or maybe because of it, I'm tempted to watch it to see how it compares to any prejudices I have.

It's just a fun romp for me personally. I enjoyed it all the times i've seen it but can understand why others may not. The fact i've read and seen it has a yellow tint to it is kinda putting me off a purchase now. |

I'm a huge fan of pirate movie in general, and Cutthroat Island is one of the better post-60s efforts. Also: Geena Davis in pirate garb. This would be a major no for me. I'll stick with my old DVD copy then... |

I’ve seen the screenshots and I don’t think it looks terrible, no worse than Red Sonja. When you’re in the midst of viewing it’s usually not noticeable like it is when you have 2 different screen shots to compare against each other.

God, I hate steelbooks so much (yeah I know I said it before ) Especially when something like Cutthroat Island has the superior original artwork only on the steelbook.

According to google's lovely image search function, it's Turkish actress Elçin Sangu as Defne in the TV series Kiralik Ask
