The very worst DVD I have ever seen was a terrible kung fu cheapie called Dragon Lee's Ways of Kung Fu which is utterly abysmal in every aspect.

The Murder Secret from EC is maybe not the worst but it comes close...sourced from a tape master in bad shape.
I was constantly wondering if there was somthing wrong with my player but it's the source the used!

Optimum are releasing Don't Look Now on Blu-Ray in March 2011.

Don't forget that Optimum is owned by Studio Canal so this may increase the chances of a release.

Great news - I'll be picking this one up for sure.

Me too -- it's one of my favourite horror films and features masterful direction by Nic Roeg and career-best performances by Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie. I've already bought it twice on DVD so an upgrade is not out of the question.

In 2011, Optimum will release the following films in theatres and then on Blu-ray:
Brighton Rock
Don’t Look Now
The Man Who Fell to Earth
Ice Cold in Alex
The Cruel Sea
Whiskey Galore!
The Lavender Hill Mob
Quatermass
The Pit and Kind Hearts & Coronets

There's going to be some serious spending going on next year!

Can't wait to get a hold of Quatermass and the Pit and Kind Hearts and Coronets on blu.
Love the old Ealing comedies.

The only one that annoyed me was "Iguana with the tongue of fire", from NEW. Ok, so maybe the transfer "has"to be done by a dodgy VHS, at least don't overcharge for it.

Didn't realise Quatermass was getting a Blu release too; another essential purchase.
