Red Sun is a great Bronson east-meets-west film! Like you say, shame about the transfer!

York Entertainment's DVD of Bruno Mattei's THE TOMB. Nice glossy cover design but the main (and only) menu is a Pioneer DVD recorder menu. Someone contacted York and they suggested it was a bootleg but I rented my copy from a mega-chain video store.

Some UK DVDs I've been reviewing that have been NTSC-PAL transfers like some of the Tartan Asian titles and some American DV flicks and I think NTSC-PAL looks worse than PAL-NTSC thanks to the 29.97 to 25 fps interlaced framerate conversion and upsizing of 720x480 to 720x576 which looks even worse when 16:9 (853x480 NTSC to 1024x576 PAL).

Incidentally for fans of Gregory's Girl (there must be some) here's Gregory and his girls (plus a couple of his buddies) today.

(L-R) - Robert Buchanan (buddy Andy - "Girls playing football! It's not natural!"), William Greenlees (Steve the chef), Caroline Guthrie (chip shop girl Carol), Davina Belling (films producer), Dee Hepburn (yep, that's Dorothy today), John Gordon Sinclair (Gregory himself), Claire Grogan (looking terrific), David Anderson (Gregory's dad) and Douglas Sannachan (window cleaning buddy).

I watched Davis' Clash of the Titans last night. A favourite from my childhood, and still impressive today imo.
