'Frankenstein '80' (1972) - Limited Blu-ray w/ slipcase pre-order available from Cauldron Films direct - $29:99

Release date: March

"When Professor Schwarz invents a new serum that helps transplant patients better accept their new organs, Dr. Frankenstein (Gordon Mitchell) quickly steals it to bring to life his greatest creation… Mosaic! (Xiro Papas). Once alive, Mosaic is uncontrollable and escapes from the lab nightly to solicit prostitutes and leave a trail of corpses across the city that only seems to baffle the police and create a wave of fear

Mario Mancini’s only film as director, is a stylish, gory, and sleazy take on the Frankenstein story in true Italian exploitation fashion with nods to Giallo and a streak of dark humor. Featuring Gordon Mitchell (Shanghai Joe, Endgame), Xiro Papas (Black Killer, Beast In Heat) and Dalila Di Lazzaro (Phenomena, and Ironically the Female Creature in Warhol’s Flesh for Frankenstein), Cauldron Films is delirious to present this gory monster movie in its uncut form on domestic Blu-Ray for the first time to an unsuspecting North American audience"

'Kill Butterfly Kill' (1983) - Limited edition 2 disc Blu-ray w/ slipcase pre-order available from Cauldron Films direct - $31:99

Release date: March

"Years after being assaulted, a young woman (Juliet Chan) seeks bloody revenge on the five men responsible. She is aided by a retired hitman sympathetic to her plight (“Tattooer Ma” Sha) and a group of likeminded girlfriends. One by one, each of the creeps are caught in a trap and done away with, but her final quarry has a few tricks up his sleeve, leading to a violent climatic confrontation.

KILL BUTTERFLY KILL (aka UNDERGROUND WIFE) is a prime example of the so-called ‘Black Movie’, an exploitation subgenre popular during the early 1980s in Taiwan. Though cheaply made, these were stylish and potent action films with often socially conscious aims and two feet planted firmly in the gutter.

Presented here in a new 4K restoration from the best surviving elements is the export English language cut of the film prepared by the notorious IFD Films. This slightly better cut differs from the original Mandarin language version known as UNDERGROUND WIFE, which is also presented here in a 4:3 ‘fullscreen’ SD print. Finally, this set also features the absolutely gonzo 1987 cut of the film, AMERICAN COMMANDO 5: KILL BUTTERFLY KILL, which features new scenes starring IFD regulars Mike Abbot and Mark Miller, from a beautiful 4K scan of the OCN. All of these various versions of this unique film are here making their official US home video and worldwide Blu-ray premieres."

Disc 1 - Blu-ray
  • Kill Butterfly Kill (Original IFD edit)
  • 4K restoration from the negative / 1080p presentation (Please note: The best surviving elements were used for this version and some scenes are not ideal. We hope that doesn’t hurt your enjoyment of this film)
  • English audio
  • Optional English SDH subtitles
  • Audio commentary by Kenneth Brorsson and Paul Fox of the Podcast on Fire Network
  • “Underground Wife” cut (SD)
  • Kill Butterfly Kill trailer (HD)
  • 1983
  • 2.39:1
  • 87 min
  • All Region

Disc 2 - Blu-ray
  • American Commando: Kill Butterfly Kill (Alternate cut)
  • 4K restoration from the negative / 1080p presentation
  • English audio
  • Optional English SDH subtitles
  • American Commando: Kill Butterfly Kill trailer (HD)

City of the Living Dead "standard slipcase" edition info

The standard website-exclusive City of the Living Dead UHD will be available to pre-order this Friday at both Cauldron and Diabolik websites. It will be the same 3 disc set (UHD/BD/BD extras) with slipcase featuring Robert Sammelin artwork, but without the limited CD, poster, or sticker sheet. Secure your copy on Friday knowing it will be in your hands soon after.

Wave 7 update

Due to Extra QC and Production time along with packaging supply delays we are sorry to announce that both Frankenstein ’80 and Neon Eagle Video’s Kill Butterfly Kill Blu-rays will now be shipping in late April. We apologize for this, but we do think they will be worth the wait! If you have ordered City of the Living Dead from Cauldron or Diabolik along with either of these products, it will be shipping as soon as they arrive. All other City of the Living Dead pre-orders have already shipped.

Future titles

We will have brand new pre-orders up in late April that we are very excited about! Action, Horror, and Adventure/Sci-Fi titles featuring beloved Italian directors, and on-screen legends. It's going to be a fun one! We’ll share more news on those in April when the fog of Dunwich clears….

Thank you for your continued support!

$29.99 Sale.

This item is a pre-order. Ships August, 2023.

Get ready for the most important game of your life where one mistake means Game Over!

What do you do when your daughter is framed for drug smuggling during a Caribbean vacation while being held in jail by a sadistic warden (Henry Silva - Escape from the Bronx)? If you are football star Cliff Gaylor (Oliver Tobias - Cobra Mission), you call an audible and do whatever you can to get her out! But when the American Consulate (Charles Napier - Beyond the Valley of the Dolls) doesn’t want to be involved and the local attorney (Martin Balsam - Psycho) only wants you to grease his palm with no guarantees, your only choice is to take matters into your own hands. Before he can even call the next play, his coach (Ernest Borgnine - Code Name: Wild Geese) and the rest of the football team (in full uniform!) are on a plane packed with weapons and money aimed to free his daughter or die trying!

Veteran Italian Producer and Director Fabrizio De Angelis’ (Ratman) The Last Match starts as an engaging exploitation drama about a father’s frustration of trying to free his daughter from the evils of another country’s prison that quickly escalates into a jaw-dropping, action packed showdown where no helicopter is safe! With a screenplay co-written by Gianfranco Clerici (The New York Ripper) and his frequent collaborator Vincenzo Mannino (The Sweet House of Horrors) and shot by Giuseppe Ruzzolini (Duck, You Sucker!), The Last Match is a classic early ‘90s action spectacle making its US home video and worldwide Blu-ray debut from a new 4k restoration struck from the camera negative and featuring all new special features!

2 new pre-orders this Friday, July 14th!

Join us this Friday July 14th at 3pm EST to pre-order 2 new Blu-ray titles making their world-wide debut!

Cauldron Films presents a totally unhinged Fabrizio De Angelis produced 80s Italian horror/monster feature, while Neon Eagle Video throws forth one of the most highly regarded Japanese action/exploitation classics of the 70s!

Both titles will be available exclusively to pre-order at Cauldron-films.com and DiabolikDVD.com. Discounted bundle with both titles available only at Cauldron-films.com.

We will close the Cauldron website this Thursday and will re-open on Friday at 3pm EST with the new titles available to pre-order.

Wave 8 pre-order update

Off Balance, Top Line, and The Last Match are on track for shipping at the end of August. We are keeping the special bundle price open until July 31, but fair warning, quantities are getting low!

Cries and Shadows (a.k.a. The Return of the Exorcist)

We soft announced this a while back and we would like to let you know it is still on track. Due to some rearrangements of our release schedule, it was moved out a bit. Still no set release date, but rest assured, it is coming. 2K restoration from the negative and loaded with extras!

Lucio Fulci’s House of Clocks, Umberto Lenzi’s The House of Witchcraft…

It’s probably no surprise that we’ve licensed all films from the Houses of Doom collection, so instead of single releases, we have decided to make it a comprehensive Blu-ray box set with all 4 films: Lucio Fulci’s The House of Clocks, The Sweet House of Horrors, plus Umberto Lenzi’s The House of Witchcraft and The House of Lost Souls. All restored in 2K from the negatives, loaded with extras, brand new artwork, and CD soundtracks for 2 of the films. We are currently working out the final details but we will have a dedicated pre-order for this soon. Likely by end of the summer.
